Together with VSF-Suisse, VWB/VSF-Canada is delivering training programs on the prevention, detection, and control of avian influenza in central and southern Togo. Local vets and technicians recently trained in methods for disease prevention and control are now sharing their expertise with AVEs (Agents Villageois d’Elevage), local organizations, villagers, market sellers, and national park rangers in an effort to effectively prevent and respond to avian influenza.
