Students: Pamela Barmentloo, Doron Lis, Hershel Frimer Three students from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine (WCVM) will be contributing to VWB/VSF's goat production project in Uganda (click here for details). As part of the VWB/VSF team, the students will help establish a Clostridial vaccination system utilizing animal community health workers known as paravets. Along with educating paravets on vaccination, the students will provide training on various veterinary issues including reproductive management for genetic improvement. They will also work on updating education materials on dairy goats, and help improve access to affordable veterinary services for rural residents. |
