ABOUT THE STUDENT PROGRAM

VWB/VSF’s Student Program is focused on training the next generation of animal health workers so that they will be better prepared to address complex public health issues and work in cross-disciplinary settings. In this program, we select veterinary students that are motivated and suited to working in animal/public health positions with global dimensions (ie. emerging diseases, poverty-reduction, sustainable livelihoods, etc) and place them with a team of their peers in development projects around the world. We aim to provide our participants with a unique learning opportunity that will arm them with the knowledge and skills to contribute in a meaningful way to global public health issues upon graduation.

The call for applications for next year's student program will be posted in September 2010.
